Shortly after leaving Hogwarts, Azriel broke up with Sorscha. He liked her - loved her, even - but panicked at the idea of “forever” when he felt like he hadn’t even lived. Now it’s nine years later and I want to explore what’s happened to each of them!
Azriel is working as a bartender and participating in illegal duels. He lives paycheck to paycheck in a small and dirty studio flat. He hasn’t had a real girlfriend since Sorscha, and he hasn’t had a real best friend since her, either.
After Hogwarts, Sorscha began working at St. Mungo's like her mother - though she would have preferred a career working with magical creatures. She ended up marrying a hotshot at the Ministry shortly after, following in her mother's footsteps yet again. Her marriage is cold and unfulfilling, but that's no surprise - her parents marriage is the same way. Sometimes she wonders what life would have been like if she had had the courage to follow a career path she wanted, and not marry someone her parents had picked out. But she has a 3-year-old, and has never been on her own... she could never leave.
I’d like to explore the awkwardness of trying to be friends with/getting to know someone you used to know and LOVE. Someone you used to be best friends with, someone you used to love. It’s uncomfortable and weird and you’re out of your element and you’re not sure what’s happening. Maybe they’ll end up being friends, maybe she’ll have a traumatic experience that brings her to Knockturn Alley (was she working on werewolf legislation and then attacked by a werewolf?). Let’s chat on PM or Discord (steph#8673)!
I picture her as Sophie Turner because I looooooooooooove her and think she and Avan Jogia look cute as heck together. But I’m open to other prim looking girls (Avan Jogia dated Zoey Deutch irl so that could be one).
